Sidr(Ziziphus spina christi), a desert plant from the Rhamnaceae family, has been considered one of the most valuable natural hair care products in the Arab and Ayurvedic worlds for thousands of years. The leaves are processed into a very fine powder that is rich in saponins and mucilage. Saponins give Sidr its natural cleansing power – it gently cleanses the hair without leaving color pigments, making it ideal for anyone who is allergic or intolerant to conventional shampoos or chemical detergents. Sidr leaves the hair clean, shiny, well-cared for, and well-conditioned. As “Neutral Henna"on its own, Sidr does not change the hair color. In combination with indigo, henna, or katam, it helps to better fix the color pigments in the hair fiber. Sidr also protects against smog, wind, chemicals, and heavy metals. Use as a hair cleanser / hair mask

Mix the sidr powder with boiling water to form a smooth paste. Add other herbs as desired for a synergistic effect.
Cover the container well and let it soak for 20 minutes.
Apply the paste to dry or damp hair and massage into the scalp using gentle circular motions.
Leave on for 50 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly. Finally, rinse with water and a dash of vinegar – this leaves the hair shiny and soft.
