Baims has a real family story with German-Brazilian roots: Brazilian-born Luisa Baims-Albrecht came up with the idea, while her husband Bernd contributed years of management experience. Development began back in 2015, the first products launched in Brazil in July 2016 and became a genuine success there. In 2018, the founding couple took the leap into the German market. Today Baims is available in 14 European countries plus Brazil and has become the quality leader for certified decorative natural cosmetics there. BBA stands for Bio Behenic Active, a plant-based active ingredient extracted from the seed of the Pentaclethra Macroloba tree native to the Brazilian rainforest.
