Application – Smokey Eye in 5 Steps

• Step 1 – Prepare (optional, recommended):Apply eyeshadow primer or concealer thinly to the eyelid and let it dry briefly – extends wear to 12+ hours and visibly intensifies the mica color effect.
• Step 2 – Light Shade as Base:Apply the lighter shade with your finger or a flat eyeshadow brush to the entire movable eyelid – from the lash line to the crease. Opens the eye and creates the base.
• Step 3 – Dark Shade in Crease:Apply the darker shade with a blending brush into the crease and outer corner of the eye – from outside to inside in circular motions. J-Technique: Place the brush at the outer corner of the eye and guide an inverted J into the crease.
• Step 4 – Blend:With a clean, fluffy blending brush, softly blend the edge between the base and accent shade – using circular windshield wiper motions without pressure. The more blending, the smokier the result.
• Step 5 – Optionally Build Intensity:Apply the dark shade again selectively to the outer crease, then blend again. The formula layers without caking for any desired depth.

Active Ingredients

• Mica: Natural mica pigment – the key active ingredient for the immediate, dense color transfer of this eyeshadow. Mica crystals reflect and refract light on the eyelid – creating the characteristic depth and dimension of smokey eyes from the very first brushstroke. No need for multiple layers – the mica concentration provides instant intense, opaque color.
• Dimethicone: Silicone polymer – the technical reason why this eyeshadow doesn't crease in the eyelid fold. Dimethicone forms a flexible, skin-friendly film on the eyelid that prevents the eyeshadow from migrating into the natural folds of the lid. Especially effective on oily eyelids – even without a separate eyeshadow primer.
• Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: Plant-based triglyceride from coconut oil – binds all pigments into a creamy, evenly applicable texture. Ensures a pleasant, smooth feel on the eyelid and improves the blending properties of the formula for a soft smokey result without harsh edges.
• CI 77007 (Ultramarine / Ultramarine Blue): Mineral blue pigment – the characteristic color active ingredient of the Navy Smokey (02)duo. Ultramarine provides the characteristic deep navy blue and midnight blue of the Navy Smokey look. This active ingredient is not present in the Dark Smokey (01) – where coal and gray pigments dominate.
• Zinc Stearate: Metal salt of stearic acid – improves the adhesion of the eyeshadow to the lid, gives a silky-powdery texture, and ensures even distribution of pigments during blending. Additionally, skin-soothing and anti-irritant properties – important for the sensitive eye area.
• Talc: Natural mineral – basic carrier of all pigments and active ingredients in the formula. Gives the eyeshadow its characteristic, soft powder texture, ensures even pigment release upon application, and improves blendability for a seamless smokey transition.
