Kapoor Kachli(Hedychium spicatum), the "Fragrant Ginger" of the Zingiberaceae family, is one of the most aromatic Ayurvedic hair herbs – its intense, spicy scent lends a sensual note to any hair or mask recipe. In India, the dried rhizomes are burned as incense and the powder is used for perfuming. For hair, Kapoor Kachli impresses with outstanding conditioning properties: in combination with Shikakai, Reetha (Aritha) and Ghassoul, it is ideal for wash-out treatments. It increases the hair shaft diameter for more volume, adds shine, acts antiseptically on the scalp and stimulates hair growth – the result is thicker, shinier and fragrant hair. Tested for heavy metalsand the bacterial load neutralized. Vegan OK – 100% Organic (Organic Socert).

Application

For the hair

Mix Kapoor-Kachli powder with very hot water to a yogurt-like consistency. Add additional herbs as desired – especially recommended with Shikakai, Reetha (Aritha), and Ghassoul.
Cover the container and let macerate for 20 minutes.
Apply the paste to dry or damp hair and massage in with gentle circular motions. Work it through the lengths as well.
Leave on for 20–50 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly. If necessary, follow with a mild, diluted shampoo. Finally, rinse with water and a little vinegar – for soft, shiny hair.
