Application

For hair

Mix the cassia powder with boiling water to a yogurt-like consistency. Add other herbs as desired.
Cover the container and let macerate for 20 minutes.
Apply the paste to dry or slightly damp hair and massage in with gentle circular motions. Work it through the lengths as well.
Leave on for 20–50 minutes.For stronger golden highlights and lightening effects: mix the paste with lemon juice instead of water and leave on for at least 2 hours—the longer it stays on, the more intense the highlights.
Rinse thoroughly. If necessary, follow with a mild, diluted shampoo. For particularly dry hair, add a conditioner or a few drops of plant oil to the paste.
