Application

For the hair

Mix bhringraj powder with very hot water to form a yogurt-like consistency. Add other herbs as desired.
Cover the container and let macerate for 20 minutes.
Apply the paste to dry or damp hair and massage in with gentle circular motions. Work it through the lengths as well.
Leave on for 20–50 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly. Finally, rinse with water and a little vinegar – for soft, shiny hair.

As a face mask

Apply the paste to a dry or slightly damp face. Avoid the eye area.
Leave on for 10 minutes– keep the mask moist; do not let it dry out. If necessary, moisten with water or hydrosol.
Rinse off with lukewarm water.
