Tea Tree Essential Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia), Organic Qcert & Socert, Vegan OK – 100% pure and integral, obtained by steam distillation of the leaves from certified organic cultivation in South Africa. Characteristic active substances: Terpinen-4-ol (30–48%), Gamma-Terpinen (10–28%), Alpha-Terpinen (5–15%), Cineol (1–15%), Alpha-Terpineol (1–8%) and Alpha-Pinene (1–6%). Belongs to the Myrtaceae family.

Already used by the indigenous people of the Bundjalung tribe – the name "Tea Tree" was coined by James Cook, who prepared a healing and antiseptic infusion from the leaves of this tree.

Hair Care: Effective against dandruff, regulates sebum secretion in oily hair and relieves dermatitis. Add 5–7 drops to a small bottle with neutral shampoo (e.g. Wild Helichrysum shampoo from Sardinia).

Skin – Antibacterial: Disinfects minor wounds, dermatitis, minor burns and eczema – apply to the affected areas diluted in a plant oil. For warts, acne, boils and minor cold sores, it can be applied locally undiluted.

Skin – Antifungal: Active against fungi and yeasts such as Malassezia furfur, Candida albicans, Trichophyton rubrum and Microsporum canis – effective for skin, mucous membrane and nail diseases. Suitable for intimate washes for the prevention and relief of Candida and cystitis symptoms (add a few drops to intimate soap).

Oral Hygiene – Anti-inflammatory: Effective for gingivitis and other oral infections – dilute 2 drops in half a glass of warm water and use as a mouthwash or gargle solution.

Mucolytic: Steam inhalations with Tea Tree Essential Oil clear and decongest the upper respiratory tract in cases of colds, sinusitis and bronchitis.

Pesticide & Parasite Control: Natural remedy against lice infestations (adults and eggs). Effective against insect bites – reduces itching and prevents wheals. Also useful for parasite control in animals – apply diluted in water to the coat of dogs or cats, the bed and the kennel.

Household: Dilute in room fragrance sprays – cleanses and refreshes the air or keeps insects away. Diluted in water as a disinfectant and anti-mold spray on bathrooms, showers and floors.
