Geoderm was founded in Spain in 1998 and has been developing certified natural and organic cosmetics with its own research and production for over 25 years. COSMOS certification through Ecocert applies to the facial care and most of the make-up range and guarantees natural, predominantly organic ingredients free of petroleum derivatives, silicones, or synthetic preservatives such as parabens. The additional ACENE certification applies specifically to the make-up and confirms both the natural ingredients and the manufacturing processes. Certified organic make-up is actually still fairly rare, which makes Geoderm a genuine alternative here.

Natural brightening formulas usually work a bit more gently and therefore need a little more patience than products with highly potent synthetic actives such as hydroquinone, which isn't even approved for cosmetics in the EU anymore anyway. With regular use over several weeks, however, plant-based active complexes show good results in evening out the complexion. Additional sun protection is always important here, since pigment spots can otherwise intensify again from UV exposure.

Natural cosmetics make-up has caught up a lot in recent years and now achieves comparable coverage and wear time, even though individual textures can feel a bit lighter than with highly synthetic formulas. The Face Moisturizer is a classic moisturizing cream for normal to dry skin with a somewhat richer texture. The Moisturizer Facial Fluid was developed specifically for oily, blemish-prone skin and absorbs faster thanks to its lighter consistency, without feeling heavy. For combination skin, you can also combine both products depending on the area of the face.

Mineral sunscreen formulas sit more on top of the skin than chemical filters, so it's worth taking a bit more care when applying: spread it generously and evenly and rub it in well, so no visible white film is left behind. The product's golden shimmer also gives a light glow effect. For the body, one application is generally enough; if you sweat heavily or go swimming, you should reapply.
